We cater logistics strategies and processes to our customers' needs by utilizing the latest information systems and advanced technologies.SummaryThe Lead Van Driver position is responsible for ensuring that units are moved from point 'A' to point 'B' in a safe and timely manner, while following all company policies and procedures. In addition, this position is responsible for effectively leading team members in order to achieve daily goals.ResponsibilitiesMove vehicles to their proper location in a safe and efficient mannerEffectively lead team members on bus, providing direction and assistance, in order to meet daily goalsEnsure that all vehicles moved in the yard are moved in a safe and timely manner to their correct locations by Glovis standardsWillfully complete all tasks as instructed by leadershipEnsure drivers follow company policy and proceduresCommunicate company guidelines and standards to the team members on the van, so they are aware of what should and should not be doneEnsure all team members on van are following all company rules, regulations, policies, and safety guidelines, including but not limited to proper dress codeEnsure all team members on van abide by the speed limit at all times, and are not conducting themselves in a manner that can cause damage to the vehiclesReport all violations to the supervisorCommunication and teamworkCommunicate and work with internal/external customers, supervisors, and peers to accomplish tasks effectivelyCoordinate and communicate with other Van Drivers to ensure everyone is working together to achieve the same goalCommunicate to the supervisor any problems that arise, that could hinder them from meeting the daily goalOther duties as assigned
