Description Jackie Meza with Robert Half is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will play a pivotal part in managing the companyu2019s financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the finance department. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets. u2022 Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance. u2022 Manage month-end and year-end closing processes while analyzing financial data and variances. u2022 Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency. u2022 Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support strategic planning and decision-making. u2022 Coordinate and support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting to meet compliance standards. u2022 Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to optimize accounting workflows. u2022 Supervise and mentor accounting team members, fostering growth and performance. u2022 Collaborate with other departments to align financial practices with organizational objectives. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred from an accredited institution). u2022 At least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities. u2022 Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting systems; familiarity with ERP platforms is a plus. u2022 Strong knowledge of month-end close processes, general ledger management, and financial reporting. u2022 Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. u2022 Proven ability to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial statements. u2022 Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
