Network Engineer

Description We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer with expertise in cloud networking and security to join our team in Lathrop, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Cisco technologies, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity frameworks who thrive in dynamic environments. The role offers the opportunity to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable network infrastructures while collaborating across teams to ensure optimal performance and compliance. Responsibilities: u2022 Design and manage Cisco-based network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems. u2022 Implement scalable solutions to optimize performance in hybrid and cloud environments. u2022 Integrate secure networking practices across cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud. u2022 Administer and troubleshoot Cisco security devices, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. u2022 Identify and resolve vulnerabilities in network configurations to maintain robust security. u2022 Monitor network performance using tools like Cisco Prime Infrastructure and SolarWinds. u2022 Troubleshoot network, cloud, and security issues to ensure high availability and reliability. u2022 Document network designs, configurations, and incident response procedures. u2022 Collaborate with IT teams and vendors on network projects and problem resolution. u2022 Apply cybersecurity best practices to ensure compliance and data protection. Requirements u2022 At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, including routers, firewalls, and security systems. u2022 Proficiency in cloud networking platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud, or similar environments. u2022 Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and certifications like Certified Cloud Security Specialist (CCSP). u2022 Expertise in network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. u2022 Advanced skills in configuring firewalls, VPNs, and network access controls. u2022 Ability to diagnose and resolve complex networking and security issues efficiently. u2022 Strong communication and collaboration skills for working across teams and projects. u2022 Experience in documenting technical processes for both technical and non-technical audiences.
