No County Columbia Street Address Taconic State Park - Copake Falls Area 253 Route 344 City Copake Falls State NY Zip Code 12517 Duties Description Under the direction of the Trades Generalist, the duties will but are not limited to:u2022 Perform apprentice-level work in a primary trade in one of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, or masonry and plaster. u2022 Assist the Trades Generalist with specific and targeted housing, cabin/cottage, and buildings rehab projects at Taconic State Park. u2022 Use hand tools, portable power tools, shop equipment, and measuring and testing instruments appropriate to the assigned trade. u2022 Assist with the coordination and execution of projects; carpentry repairs, including to but not limited to roofing, siding and foundation repairs; plumbing and masonry repairs; and clean up. u2022 Complete additional duties as needed. Minimum Qualifications There are no minimum qualifications per Civil Service. Additional Comments OPERATIONAL NEEDS:u2022 Must be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor tasks.u2022 Must be able to work from scaffolding or ladders.u2022 Must be able to work in a team and independently under supervisor direction. u2022 Must communicate effectively with other staff. u2022 Must communicate in writing and to read and comprehend written material. u2022 Must possess and maintain a valid New York State Driveru2019s License as a term and condition of employment.
