Job Title: Assistant Vice President u2013 Corporate Banking Location: New York, NY, United States About the Opportunity: Our client, a leading global financial institution, is seeking an Assistant Vice President to contribute to business development, credit risk management, and portfolio oversight. Responsibilities: + Maintain regular client contact and identify opportunities to enhance relationships. + Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and expand professional networks. + Structure, supervise, and negotiate term sheets and commitment letters within approved credit parameters. + Participate in community and business activities to increase the banku2019s visibility. + Provide coaching and guidance to team members. + Conduct due diligence for prospective deals, including financial, credit, and industry analysis. + Assess creditworthiness and prepare decision notifications. + Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with loan pricing, terms, and profitability requirements. + Perform scheduled credit reviews to monitor portfolio performance against original underwriting expectations. + Oversee asset management of syndicated, M&A, and project finance loans. + Ensure timely processing, closing, and monitoring of loans. + Support account setup, reporting, drawdown management, and renewal coordination as needed. + Ensure all activities comply with federal laws, internal policies, and regulatory requirements (AML, BSA, KYC). + Report unusual activities and support audits with timely documentation. + Stay current on industry trends and regulatory changes. Qualifications: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics; Masteru2019s degree preferred. + 1u20135 years of experience in Syndication or Structured Finance. + Knowledge of corporate finance, financial statements, and corporate lending. + Formal credit training and loan portfolio management experience preferred. + Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Mandarin bilingual preferred. + Self-starter, team player, problem solver, and takes ownership of work. Compensation: Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
