Job Title: Project Architect (Traveling)Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our dynamic team in Maryland. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in architecture, with a strong emphasis on designing and managing complex projects. This role demands a creative and strategic thinker capable of leading architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality design and execution. Responsibilities + Lead the design and development of architectural projects, ensuring they meet client requirements and industry standards. + Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans and timelines. + Oversee the preparation of architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects and design staff. + Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations. + Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. + Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design specifications. + Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. + Make key management and project decisions to ensure the successful execution of projects. + Develop and implement strategies to improve project efficiency and effectiveness. + Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle. Essential Skills + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. + Licensed Architect in the state of Maryland (preferred). + Minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design and project management. + Proficiency in architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Suite. + Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices. + Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with government, academic, multi-family, commercial, corporate, and scientific/lab project types is preferred. Work Environment This role offers the flexibility of remote work with a high preference for candidates able to travel to the Denver market for site visits. The position provides an excellent opportunity to focus on Airport and Aviation development, with projects ranging from tenant relocation to terminal expansion and baggage handling. Our team partners with large A&E firms to achieve ambitious goals, working on projects in various locations including WV, Dulles, Austin, and Denver. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbia, Maryland. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $53.00/hr.
