In this role you will get to support verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) activities associated with Missile Defense System (MDS) modeling and simulation (M&S) of threats, cruise missiles, radars, IR sensors, interceptors, communications using data analysis tools and/or code.Duties:Perform VV&A analysis on physics-based Core Truth Models representing signatures, environment states and effects, and lethality; and generate reports on findings.Develop data analysis code to assess hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) and/or digital models against their requirements and determine suitability forintended uses in MDS simulations.Research technical papers and identify data pertinent to model VV&A to develop expertise onphysical theory and mathematical equations that constitute the models.Establish VV&A evidence by comparing modeled data to referent data for various MDS sensors, threats, or interceptors.Serve as primary point of contact and product integrator for a team effort to include preparation and presenting of evidence plans, products, and reports.Required Skills/Experience:Experience coding in at least one programming language (Python preferred) and ability to analyze existing codeBasic knowledge of verification and validation (V&V) processesAbility to collaborate with counterparts from other stakeholder agencies, such as software developers and accreditation agents, to establish adequate V&V evidence and correct modeling issues.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while reporting results as part of a team. The candidate should be able to work in an open, collaborative environment and have good written / spoken communication skills.Must be a U.S. CitizenAn active DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have a minimum of an active Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this level of clearance during their employment.Education Requirements:BS in a STEM field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science discipline and 3+ years of experienceDesired Skills:Understanding of radar principles/modelsKnowledge of hypersonic and/or cruise missile behavior/performanceWorking knowledge of Linux operating systemsPeople First.
