This Addiction Counselor role is based out of our Columbia, MD center. The Addiction Counselor position is held by someone who is innovative and committed to learning and developing their counseling skill, working and collaborating with an innovative, inter-disciplinary team. This position requires someone who is invested in patient care and brings a solution-focused attitude and outlook.Hybrid full-time Monday - Friday 12:30pm - 8:30pmProvides case management services which support a positive treatment outcomeServes as therapist in IOP and continued care groups, as well as provide individual therapy as needed for SUD and/or mental health disordersDevelop patient-centered treatment plans based on results from the screening tools and bio psychosocial assessmentCollaborates with medical staff and treatment team as a wholeConsults with family members and referral sources in order to coordinate patient careEnsures adequate case management services are identified and addressedResponsible for maintaining electronic health records which include documentation of treatment activity and progressEnsures that patient records are accurate, comprehensive and meets regulatory standardsDevelops a treatment alliance with patients that is mutual, collaborative, and individualized, meeting changing clinical needs throughout treatmentFacilitates addiction treatment groups in the IOP and OP levels of carePrepares and presents addiction/recovery education presentations to all patientsEngages in case management sessions, including assessments, collaborative treatment goals, discharge planning, partnership with referral sources and/or other providersWorks with treatment team to meet the co-occurring psychiatric needs of patientsCoordinates care for all appropriate support services, including referral sources, family members, and other support providersResponsible for maintaining timely and well written documentation that meets state and CARF standardsDemonstrates commitment to excellent patient care, which is measured through clinical outcomes, such as patient retention, attendance, successful program completion, transitioning from IOP to OP, treatment goal attainment, etc.Provide evaluations for substance use disorders using DSM-TR and ASAM level of care criteriaAttends and is prepared for professional meetings, including treatment teamOther duties as assignedTo join us, you’ll need to have one of the following:Addiction Counselor I - CSC-AD in MarylandAddiction Counselor II - CAC-AD, LGADC, LGPC, LMSW, LCADC, LCPC, LCSW or LCSW-C in MarylandMaster's degree, LPC or LCSW preferredAnd...A minimum of two years supervised counseling experiencePrevious experience in substance abuseGroup therapy experienceFamiliarity working within an EMRSolid crisis management skillsStrong administrative, verbal and written communication skillsWe OfferCompetitive CompensationCompany Paid Clinical SupervisionFull Benefits: Medical/Dental/VisionLife Insurance401KTuition ReimbursementPaid Professional Development TimeStudent Loan Repayment Program Finish Paid Vacation TimeAnd More!Competitive compensation starting at $32/hr and increases from theredepending on factors such as location, education, experience, and licensure.Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health has been a leader in Outpatient Treatment since 1973.
