Veterinary Services of Aiken is hiring a Pet Care Attendant (PCA)!Position DetailsRole: Pet Care Attendant (PCA)Status: Full-timeSalary: Negotiable and based on experienceVeterinary Services of Aiken is looking for a full-time Pet Care Attendant (PCA) to join our team. The PCA is the entry-level position in the practice, and the job is an excellent way to learn how a veterinary hospital operates from the ground up.Our PCAs are responsible for:Feeding, walking, and cleaning up after dogs and cats in our boarding kennelKeeping track of pets’ belongings and making sure the kennel is neat and organizedAdministering medications to boarders as directed by a veterinarianMonitoring pets for any sign of illness or behavioral issues and bringing any concerns to the attention of a veterinary technician or veterinarianEnsuring our building is clean and odor-free at all times. You must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation, and be available to work 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM on a flexible schedule that meets the hospital’s needs, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Animal handling experience is a plus, but we are willing to train someone who understands that they need to learn safe, proper techniques that are in keeping with the hospital’s Fear Free approach.No phone calls, please.
