Minimum Qualifications:Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of Respiratory CareLicensure/Certification/Registration:BLSCertified or certified-eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC),Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory TherapyIf not certified by NBRC, must obtain certification by expiration of Temporary License dateACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administrationDesired Qualifications:Associate degree or BS degree in Respiratory ScienceDesiredLicensure, Registration, Certification:Registered by the National Board of Respiratory CareUnder general direction, position is responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment and performing or assisting with procedures utilized in the diagnosis or treatment of cardiopulmonary disease or illness.
