Job Description

Our Fort Worth, Texas (TX) office is looking for an Electrical Designer with 8+ years of experience to join our Water/Wastewater team!Serve as the BIM Manager on projects and support the ongoing expansion of Kimley-Horn's Water/Wastewater practiceCoordinate with Electrical, Structural, and other internal disciplines on larger treatment and pump station projects to facilitate the use of tools like Revit and BIM to deliver multi-discipline projectsEstablish and maintain BIM standards, protocols, and workflows to streamline project coordination for multiple projectsThe successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their businessDevelop technical drawings and plans Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changesMaintain Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) database for projectsWill supervise and train Revit staffProvide training and support to project teams on BIM tools and technologies.Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality controlDevelop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards#LI-TD15+ years of relevant experience in engineering design and support using BIM/CAD softwareStrong design skills in Revit, AutoCAD Civil3D and other Autodesk productsAbility to set up and manage printing/plotting settingsStrong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learnAbility to work independently and with a teamWillingness to mentor and teach othersDetail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starterAt Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
