Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE)

Peraton is seeking a driven Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our team of experts providing operational and mission support to a government customer in Virginia.Position Responsibilities:Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a department-side architecture tool, leveraging Model-Based Systems Engineering via the Cameo application suiteIn concert with team members, collaborate with department teams and external stakeholders to gather future architecture requirements, functions, and behaviors as well as gather applicable characteristics of existing systemsDevelop detailed diagrams to capture information gathered from various stakeholders in an MBSE approachPresent architecture products to stakeholders for feedback and update to meet evolving needsSupport the development of requirements documents based on the future architectureRequired Qualifications:Active TS/SCI with relevant polygraphBachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience, or Master’s and 6 years, or PhD and 3 years are required.Previous experience with the ICWorking knowledge of MBSESystems Engineering experience to include:Development of CONOPS/Use CasesAbility to decompose system functions and behaviorsRequirements development and managementGood time management skills; ability to support multiple projects; ability to multi-taskMust be a team player and possess a strong ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team as well as work independently with minimal supervisionDemonstrated ability to quickly ramp-up to support customer's needs, clearly communicate (orally and written) ideas, take initiative to provide creative solutions to challenges and/or systemic problemsProactive and forward-leaningStrong interpersonal skillsSalary Range Estimates:The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.Benefits:Peraton offers enhanced benefits to employees working on this critical National Security program, which include heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan.Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
