Actalent has an immediate opening for a Financial Analyst at our Global Headquarters in Hanover, MD.CompensationTarget Salary | $61,000 - $65,000Bonus potential | Quarterly up to $1,000ScheduleFull Time | PermanentMonday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMHybrid | 4 days in office - 1 day remoteJob SummaryThe Financial Analyst is responsible for the preparation, validation and analysis of all financials produced by the department. They also respond to inquiries and provide income statement analysis to Directors of Financial Operations and Controllers, which help to guide respective field offices in understanding and managing their profitability and financial performance. They play an active role in the annual budget process. A qualified candidate must demonstrate initiative, flexibility, innovation, urgency, and ability to work in a diverse setting.Essential FunctionsProduce monthly reporting which includes company, regional, office and director viewsProvide variance explanation between budget, actual, year over year, and trending performanceConduct monthly income statement analysis and prepare journal entries when needed during the monthly close process.Assist stakeholders in understanding and utilizing reports produced by the departmentProduce ad hoc reports and provide analysis as neededInvestigate ways to improve current reporting processes utilizing functionality of PeopleSoft queries and the Planning applicationParticipate in the annual budgeting processMinimum EducationBS in Accounting or Finance3-5 years of Accounting or Finance related experiencePeople Soft and nVision experience preferredFinancial analysis experience preferredHyperion Planning, Essbase and SmartView and EPM (EDMCS, EPBCS, FCCS) experience plusAdvanced business degree a plusAbilities | SkillsStrong analytical ability with a focus on detailAbility to manage multiple tasksProfessional oral and written communication skillsCapacity to view the company, and our internal process, at a detailed levelCapable of interacting with all levels of the organization in a professional mannerPer Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $61,000 - $77,000 + bonus potential of up to $4,000Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
