With the recent addition of a 76 unit, Independent Living complex on our grounds, we need you to join us as we transition to this new chapter of our community! The Engineer Technician is a mid-level maintenance/engineering position that is responsible for creating a safe andsecure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, consistentwith regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices.SCHEDULE/HOURS: Part Time, 20-24 Hours per week, flexible scheduling, rotating on-call weekend scheduleREPORTING STRUCTURE: The Engineer Technician reports to the Environmental Services DirectorWhat We are Looking For from You:Strong work ethic:Consistently exhibiting your best effort, being reliable, and taking ownership of your good workIntegrity and honesty:Upholding high ethical standards in all situationsHumility and service-oriented attitude:Willingness to help others and prioritize the needs of the team over personal gainPositive attitude and good communication skills:Approaching challenges constructively and communicating openly and respectfullyCreate a safe and secure environment by maintaining the buildings, grounds, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, consistent with regulations and established policies, procedures and best practices.Execute assigned responsibilities for buildings and grounds as defined by the site leadership to include:Completion of daily work ordersBuilding, grounds, and equipment maintenanceBuilding and Equipment repairParticipate in life safety compliance routinesPaintingApartment turnsBuilding maintenanceCustomer requestsSnow removalPool careOther projects as assigned1-3 years experience in commercial or residential building maintenanceAble to work independently, multi task, follow directions and work under supervision.Relate well and provide a professional image and services to all customers.Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.Must be able to participate in an after hours emergency on-call rotation consisting of one week on-call at a frequency depending on the size of the on-call group.Full-time benefits-eligible employment begins at a minimum of 30 hours per week:Health, and dental, including applicable HSA & FSAEmployer Contribution to HSA for eligible Health PlansLife insurance (AD&D)Retirement, with eligibility for an employer matchHoliday pay and extended sickFull and Part-time benefits-eligible employment working between 20-29 hours per week:Vision insuranceVoluntary short-term & long-term disabilityAccident & hospitalization coverageEducation assistance programsAll employees:Accrue PTO (Paid time off)Same-day payEmployee assistance program (EAP)College partnership educational discountsAccess to Learn to Live ResourcesBased in St. Paul, Minnesota-Presbyterian Homes & Services (PHS) is a nonprofit, faith-based organization providing a broad array of high-quality housing choices, care options and services for older adults.
