This provider will support our Orthopedics team and provide care to pediatric patients in both a surgical, inpatient, and clinic-based setting. Schedule will be Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm with no nights, holidays, weekends, or call expected. APPs have the option to assist with overnight call on a rotating basis for an extra incentive. The pay range for this position is $99,022-$169,752. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.Outpatient Clinic Duties and ResponsibilitiesNew patient history and physical examinationEstablished patient follow-up evaluationOrder appropriate diagnostic laboratory and imaging studieOrder appropriate medicationsAppropriate clinical decision-making and managementParticipate in development and implementation of regional outcome programsAssist and/or castingInpatient Duties and ResponsibilitiesAdmission history and physical examination to include surgical and rehabilitation admissionsDaily progress notesDischarge notesParticipate in patient care rounds with physicians, nursing, and rehabilitation staffCheck wounds and incisionsApply/modify/remove castsFirst assist in surgeryMaster of Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent degree requiredNCCPA board certification requiredActive SC Physician Assistant license requiredActive DEA license requiredCurrent Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification requiredPrevious experience in orthopedics and/or pediatrics highly preferred. New graduates will also be considered.
