We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary and Qualifications As an Activities Coordinator, you will visit pediatric patients in their rooms and in the playrooms to provide diversional activities through toys, art projects, books, music, games, etc. You will assist with clerical tasks, provide support for special events and Volunteer and Pet Therapy Programs. What will you do in this role: + As an Activities Coordinator, you will visit patients, and provide diversional activities for patients, for example: toys, music, games, puzzles, etc. You will assess patientsu2019 needs according to the length of stay and support system required by the patient. + You will provide support to Pet Therapy Program and other special events. + You will provide support with copying color sheets, lamination, and other clerical tasks as needed. + You will clean toys and playrooms when needed and ensure that infection control policy is adhered to. What qualification you will need: + High School diploma or equivalent required + College course work in Child Development preferred + Experience working directly with children ages 0-18 years. + Experience with organization and materials management preferred + Basic Life Support (BLS) within 120 days of hire Since opening in 1998 as the first and only hospital in San Antonio and South Texas designed and built just for children with over 200 beds, Methodist Childrenu2019s Hospital has set the standard for treating the children of South and Central Texas.
