Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.CHIEF MATE (MARINE OPERATIONS)RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead and support towing and dynamic positioning SpaceX recovery vessels, primarily supporting Falcon recovery and drone shipsResponsible for voyage planning, operations, and the safety of all personnel onboard, primarily supporting recovery missionsSupport all aspects of safe operation, navigation, standards, and crew management of SpaceXâs fleet of vessels operating in the Atlantic, Gulf of America, and the Caribbean SeaSupport weekly administrative reports and logbooks according to regulations and standards to ensure vessel-wide compliancePlan and execute operations in collaboration with onboard Recovery technicians and others as required, while also supporting shipboard operations and maintenance.
