The Collins Aerospace IPS in Richardson, TX has an immediate opening for a highly experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to work in Advanced Systems on A-Kit and component electronics product development for defense applications. The candidate will be responsible for design of A-Kit electrical hardware and associated systems for ground and airborne products & subsystems. The candidate will be performing electrical design, electrical design analysis, implementing design solutions, performing simulations, and performing analysis and testing of associated hardware in a laboratory setting. What You Will Do: + While maintaining and growing you EE skillset: + PM&P (Parts, Materials & Process) + A-Kit (Alpha Kit) development selecting components that the customer approves + Designing harnesses and cables to integrate into systems including radios, aircraft, and ground C2 systems. Qualifications You Must Have: + Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience + Experience with power system design and analysis tools (SPICE, SIMPLIS, schematic/layout design software, MATLAB/Simulink, ADS, Hyperlynx PI). + Experience with schematic capture, block diagrams, and parts lists for complex electronics. + Experience in testing electronic products using bench power supplies, signal/waveform generators, high-speed oscilloscopes, power supply stability testers, spectrum analyzers, and debugging tools. + The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start.u201d
