Project Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Antioch, California. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate billing and payment tracking, and supporting project managers and corporate leadership. Responsibilities: u2022 Set up new projects and establish billing schedules to ensure timely invoicing. u2022 Track project billings, change orders, and payment statuses to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Prepare detailed financial reports to support project managers and corporate management. u2022 Utilize intermediate Excel skills to analyze data and create insightful reports. u2022 Manage time and materials billing processes for construction projects. u2022 Collaborate closely with team members to meet common organizational goals. u2022 Maintain adherence to company accounting standards and practices. u2022 Work with software such as Deltek Vision to streamline accounting processes. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry. u2022 Proficiency in construction accounting practices and billing procedures. u2022 Familiarity with Deltek software, including Deltek Vision. u2022 Intermediate Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting. u2022 Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial tasks simultaneously. u2022 Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and subcontractors. u2022 Ability to work independently while supporting project managers and corporate leadership.
