You will ensure they feel comfortable, safe and properly informed throughout the entire process, helping facilitate a welcoming and supportive experience. In this role, you have access to a unique avenue in which to enhance your skills using the latest technologies and leave a positive lasting impression on patients every day.A caregiver in this role works evening + on-call shifts varying between 12:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Prepare and check patients prior to MRI procedure.Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of having MRI examination.Verify and validate patient screening safety form.Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA.Perform venipunctures and maintain competencies.Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment and exam.Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.Assist with scheduling of patients.Administer proper contrast related to patient having MRI exam.Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via plete after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork.Immediately report any malfunctions and observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or calls for service.Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility.Process billing via struct and mentor new hires and Radiology students.Learn new technical information and skills.Attend in-service programs and professional affiliation sessions.Potentially rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRTRegistered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing. OR Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing or be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways.Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hireKnowledge of Federal and State regulatoriesPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalitiesOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
