Performs an array of technical, training, research, planning, policy, program assessment, and administrative activities for the direct deposit program and the warrant hold program. Provides daily customer service by phone, in person, and via e-mail in response to inquiries. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Work HoursMonday through Friday, 40 hours a week with occasional evening, weekend hours and holidays. Hours may change based on business need.Program Specialist III: $4916.67-$5250.00Program Specialist IV: $5500.00-$5916.67Qualifications: Minimum QualificationsEducation:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelorand#8217;s degree.Program Specialist IIIExperience:and#183; Two years of experience with any of the following: accounting and/or processing, overseeing accounts payable, purchase, travel transactions, analyzing and adhering to legislative or technical policies/programs.and#183; Three years of customer service experience.Program Specialist IVExperience:and#183; Four years of experience with any of the following: accounting and/or processing, overseeing accounts payable, purchase, travel transactions, analyzing and adhering to legislative or technical policies/programs.and#183; Four years of experience providing customer service in a high-volume environment. Preferred QualificationsPreferred Experience:and#183; One or more years of experience using TINS or USAS.and#183; Experience with stand and deliver training.and#183; Experience conducting research and documenting findings.and#183; Experience with Automated Clearinghouse (ACH).and#183; Experience with the Warrant Hold program.SubstitutionsOne additional year of analyzing and adhering to regulatory, legislative, or technical policies/programs, may substitute for thirty semester hours of educational requirement with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours (four years).Licenses and CertificationsN/AIn this role you will:and#183; Participate in special assign ents on direct deposit, payment processing, payment distribution, and the warrant hold program within established deadlines as assigned.and#183; Work closely with other state agencies, internal departments of our agency, the general public and coworkers to identify research, analyze and resolve specific payment and payee issues using the Texas Identification Number System (TINS) and the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS).and#183; Perform all the sectionand#8217;s production aspects including payment processing, held payments, payee information updates and reconciling report information in TINS and USAS.and#183; Provide clear and accurate verbal and written communications to internal and external customers in a professional manner relating to payment processing, payment distribution and the warrant hold program.and#183; Performs all other related duties as assigned, including but not limited to assisting or serving as an instructor for training courses and attending meetings to provided and gather information.
