The ideal candidate will be an experienced welder with automation experience.u00a0Primary Responsibilities (Welding & Automation):u00a0Setup and operation of various welding processes including:Traditional processes (MIG, TIG, Stick)Laser welding systemsRobotic welding cellsAutomated welding equipmentProgram and operate automated welding systems and robotic cellsConfigure and optimize laser welding parametersInterpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and welding symbolsPerform complex welding operations on various materials including steel alloys, aluminum, titanium, and nickel-based alloysDevelop and optimize welding procedures and parameters for both manual and automated processesMonitor and maintain automated welding systemsTroubleshoot automation equipment and resolve technical issuesConduct visual inspection of welds and assist with weld testing proceduresExecute proper material preparation and fit-up proceduresProvide technical feedback on weldment design and manufacturabilityTrain and mentor less experienced welders in both manual and automated processesu00a0u00a05+ years of professional welding experienceExperience with automated welding systems and/or laser weldingUnderstanding of robotic programming and operationsCurrent welding certifications (specific certifications as required)Proven expertise in multiple welding processes and positionsStrong knowledge of metallurgy and material propertiesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&TExperience with quality control and inspection proceduresStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExperience with PLC systems and automated equipment interfacesExcellent communication skills for interaction with engineers and team membersu00a0Desired Qualifications:u00a0Experience programming robotic welding systemsAdvanced knowledge of laser welding technologyExperience with exotic materials and specialized welding processesBackground in weld process automation and optimizationBasic computer skills and willingness to learn new technologiesInterest in additive manufacturing and new manufacturing technologiesExperience in a precision manufacturing environmentThe successful candidate will execute work independently while seeking guidance when needed.
