JOB REQUIREMENTS: Engineer II Metering Service and Metering Job PurposeThe Engineer II supports gas and electric metering operations throughthe application of engineering principles, technical analysis, andproject management. This role develops and implements metering solutionsthat ensure accuracy, safety, reliability, and compliance withregulatory requirements. The Engineer II contributes to the planning,testing, deployment, and ongoing support of advanced metering systemsand technologies, with a focus on operational efficiency and customersatisfaction. Key Responsibilities Note: This is not an all-inclusivelist. Engineering Support Provide technical expertise in the selection,configuration, and performance of gas and electric meters. Providetechnical expertise and support for electric service work. Conductanalysis and testing to ensure meter accuracy, reliability, andcompliance with industry standards. Support the integration andtroubleshooting of metering systems with Advanced MeteringInfrastructure (AMI). Project Delivery Plan and execute small tomid-scale metering projects, including upgrades, replacements, andsystem improvements. Prepare project documentation, cost estimates, andschedules. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe andefficient project implementation. Regulatory and Compliance Supportcompliance with Public Service Commission (PSC) and industry standards,including ANSI, AGA, and NIST requirements. Assist in maintainingaccurate documentation and reporting for audits and inspections.Operational Support Provide engineering guidance to field metering staffon installation, testing, and maintenance practices. Analyze performanceand failure trends, recommending corrective actions. Develop and updatetechnical procedures, standards, and specifications. ContinuousImprovement Participate in the evaluation and adoption of new meteringtechnologies. Recommend process improvements to enhance safety,efficiency, and reliability.
