The Manager of Pharmacy Operations is responsible for theoverall direction and management of pharmacy operations for Medica. Thisposition develops solutions to streamline processes, reduceadministrative costs and improve operational procedures; and directs theimplementation of strategies to enhance the member experience andimprove effectiveness. Performs other duties as assigned. KeyAccountabilities Process Improvement Oversees accurate administration ofMedica's prescription drug benefits and including accumulator andenrollment data exchange between vendors Develops and overseesimplementation of clinical and operational strategies, new programs andcustom network development Oversees pharmacy benefit and programimplementation, communication and coordination across Medica's businessunits Represent Pharmacy Operations at leadership level during meetingsand presentations including the Pharmacy Executive Steering CommitteePartner with Sales and Account Management to address exceptions andcustomized requests to determine viability, effort, risks, costs andimpact People Management Manages day-to-day operational functionsDirects workflow, prioritization and strategic alignment of initiativesRecruits, hires, coaches and oversees training of new team membersConducts performance evaluations and promotes career development VendorManagement Oversees PBM claim processing to ensure accuracy andtimeliness Holds PBM and mail order vendors accountable to contractprovisions and performance guarantee standards Manages quality controls(financial, procedural and compliance) for operational systems andprocesses Oversees issue resolution with PBM and other vendors MinimumQualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, or equivalent experiencein related field 5 years of equivalent work experience PreferredQualifications Leadership experience in pharmacy operations or managedcare Knowledge of health care industry/products/benefits Experience inPBM vendor management Experience in medical pharmacy Advanced experiencewith MS Excel This position is an Office role, which requires anemployee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per...
