As a Banquet Cook at The Pfister Hotel, you will beresponsible for preparing and maintaining the highest quality of fooditems for our banquet events, ensuring consistency, quality control, andexceptional presentation. Built in 1893, The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukeehas been a hotel icon for nearly 130 years. As one of the best hotels inMilwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition ofgracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has receivedAAA Four Diamond hotel status for 46 consecutive years. The hotel is oneof only 11 properties throughout North America to maintain the AAA FourDiamond designation since the inception of the Diamond Rating program in1976.What you will be doing: Prepare station-specific food itemsaccording to standard recipes, ensuring consistency and quality. Monitor product storage, portion sizes, and specialty items such asstocks and sauces. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all areasto meet Health Department regulations. Prepare requisitions forsupplies and food items for production in assigned workstation. Ensure equipment is clean, sanitized, and operational. Manage stationsetup, prep work, and breakdown. Follow recipe specifications anduphold high standards of food production and presentation. Maintainpersonal hygiene and sanitation practices at all times.PositionRequirements: Previous cooking experience required; 1-2 years in asimilar position preferred. Culinary or Apprenticeship programpreferred; high school diploma preferred. Must own a set of knives. Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment (knives, spoons,spatulas, tongs, slicers, etc.). Ability to lift, push, or pullweights up to 100 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods, work inconfined spaces with high levels of noise, frequent interruptions, andperform duties in extreme temperature ranges. Ability to obtainlocal, state, or federal certifications related to sanitation, liquorservice, or food safety. Must adhere to the Local 122 CollectiveBargaining Agreement regulations, with the option to obtain unionmembership after 90 days of employment.What's in it for you?
