Job DescriptionThe Critical Facilities Engineer is part of the Facility Operations team, responsible for performing preventative and ongoing maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability environments (e.g., data centers, medical facilities, laboratories, or utilities infrastructure).Key ResponsibilitiesActs as a consistent individual contributor and team member, providing influence, knowledge sharing, training, mentoring, and direction to other staff engineers and peers.Applies expertise and knowledge to develop concepts, techniques, and process improvements.Identifies and assists with resolving potential issues and ensures data center uptime and project success.Reviews major design modifications and upgrades to ensure compliance with applicable codes, safety, and operational standards.Creates and reviews all mission-critical MOPs (Method of Procedures) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for accuracy, safety, and business impact assessment.Always collaborates with partner data centers.Functional Skills: Systems KnowledgeElectrical, Plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning, CRACs (Computer Room Air Conditioning), UPS (Uninterruptible Power Systems), ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)Data center infrastructure or other mission-critical environmentsAbility to interpret blueprints, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), electrical and mechanical schematics Process KnowledgeITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Change Management and ServiceNow Change ProcessFamiliarity with safety and risk management principles Experience2u20135 years of relevant experience in critical facilities or related environments.General SkillsStrong problem-solving abilitiesEffective written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and email applicationsPhysical RequirementsRegularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 puter SkillsProficient in operating computers and related equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and using software applications including MS Office and internet-based tools.Location and Work HoursLocation: Rochelle, IL (on-site role)Work Schedule: 8 consecutive days (Tuesday u2013Tuesday), 9:00PM to 7:00AMOff Schedule: 6 consecutive days (Wednesday u2013Monday)3rd shift has a 15% shift differential#LI-EA1SkillsComputer Literacy, Critical Environments, Cross-Functional Teamwork, Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), Data Center Management, Facility Engineering, Facility Maintenance, Fire Protection Engineering, HVAC Systems, Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure, Maintenance Strategy, Mission Critical, Problem Solving, Product Safety StandardsCompensationCompensation offered for this role is $26.20 - 41.84 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.Joining our team isn't just a job u2014 it's an opportunity.
