Position Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of accounting assignments under general direction from supervisor. Demonstrates knowledge and expertise within accounting discipline. Works within existing systems or processes, provides incremental improvements, and exercises independent judgement. Identifies and analyzes problems and trends. Devise new approaches to most problems, seeking technical guidance on unusually complex problems.Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Multi-site responsibility for one or more facilities for the A/R process.Accounting includes work across multiple areas of Accounting including:Ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards (e.g., general ledger, cash payments/collections, tax transactions, etc.) Capital spend tracking.Control/reconciliation of accounts and records (balance sheet, P&L, bank accounts, etc.) Accounting reports/schedules for internal audiences (management reporting) and/or for external audiences (compliance reporting) including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, budget reporting, etc.) In some organizations, Accounting work may also include:Cost accounting/budgeting (allocation of direct/indirect costs, variance analysis, budget preparation, etc.)Prepare monthly journal entries and account analyses as part of the closing processSupport periodic budgeting processSupport SOX reporting and testing process Coordinate audit requests with internal and external audit groupsResponsible for performing a variety of accounting assignments under general direction from supervisorPerform other duties, as assigned.Required SkillsProven analytical, problem solving, and process improvement abilityExperience with ERP systems for general accounting and consolidation purposesStrong analytical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skillsAbility to successfully manage many issues/projects simultaneouslyPrevious public accounting experience with manufacturing clients is a plusMust have the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet expectations for required competencies in position, which includes: 1) safety, health, and environmental awareness, 2) business ethics and compliance, 3) technical/professional competence and quality & time management, 4) interpersonal relations and communication skills, 5) initiative, flexibility, innovation, and adaptability, 6) continuous improvement and problem solving, and 7) planning and organizing. /generated inline style / All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. /generated inline style / This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
