Partner with Division Presidents and Operational Leaders, to deliver business results and actively foster a positive and safe employee environment. Drive the implementation and improvement of various HR programs including employee communications, staffing, benefits, training, employee relations, performance management and safety. Ensure consistent application and documentation of policies and procedures. Sees that the Division recruits the best talent available to increase the division's effectiveness. Resolves employee relations issues working with leadership and employees. Guides the disciplinary process for those cases where employees are not meeting expectations. Promotes an environment where employees can achieve both company and individual goals in a friendly, safe, effective, and efficient manner.*This role will cover both Alabama and Texas divisions and will require an aggressive travel schedule for the first 3-6 months dependent on Business needs.Provide HR partnership for multiple Divisions across multiple statesPartner with department leaders to align HR strategies with business goalsLead full-cycle recruitment for all job levels at each DivisionPartner with hiring managers to understand their talent needs and what it takes to be successful in each positionIdentify and recommend recruiting and organizational structure strategies to support the needs of the DivisionDevelop and initiate employee onboarding and orientation programsOrganize and maintain employee I-9 processAnalyze HR metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in employee engagement, retention, and performanceAdvocate for the employee experience, ensuring policies and programs enable people to do their best workWork closely with business leaders to recommend and identify employee development opportunitiesCoach and develop leaders at all levels to strengthen their effectiveness and impactDrive the talent management process ensuring performance reviews and merit processes are followed for both hourly and salaried employeeThoroughly conduct and document investigations, and escalate to corporate HR, as neededEnsure performance improvement plans and progressive disciplinary actions occur in a timely manner and consistent with company policyProvide coaching and support to managers on a range of people-related matters, including performance issues, policy interpretation and violations, leadership development, succession planning, and career pathingConduct exit interviews and provide off-boarding support to employeesProduce, analyze and present data driven solutions to the businessWork with other members of the corporate HR team to identify and implement business improvementsProvide guidance to leaders and employees regarding FMLA / ADA mattersAccurately review and monitor weekly payroll, ensuring employee hours are recorded correctlyMaintain and update employee information in the HRIS, ensuring timely setup for new hires to begin work on their start dateManage benefits enrollment and assist employees with benefits questions and issuesOversee Divisions Unemployment and Workers Compensation programsMaintain Division’s compliance with all Federal, state and local employment laws and regulationsRegularly review policies and practices to ensure compliance with any changes in laws and regulationsAudit time and attendance tracker for integrityParticipate in year-end responsibilities which include vehicle expenses and taxable fringe benefits reporting, etcManage division-specific projects e.g., Driver Qualification files, and other compliance reportsMaintain HR records and personnel files in compliance with company and federal requirementsPerform special projects as assigned by Corporate Human ResourcesQualifications and SkillsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilitiesStrong Conflict Resolution capabilitiesInclusion and diversity advocacyExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailDemonstrated knowledge of human resources, safety and payroll policies and proceduresAbility to prioritize tasks and to delegate when appropriateKnowledge of U.S. labor laws and regulationsUnderstanding of safety, personnel, and compliance records managementAbility to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentialityProficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareExperience & EducationBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
