Manager, Fund Operations

Vista Equity Partners is seeking to hire an Manager to join the newly formed Fund Operations team that is responsible for the operation of our Private Equity Funds. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to add immediate value and impact to a rapidly growing and dynamic company and to help define a new function within the Finance Department. As a new team, the Manager will support the build out of processes and standards to manage Vista’s buyout funds and will support all aspects of the funds’ operations including: performancereporting, fund modeling, investment funding and execution, ongoing deal support, cash management and credit facility compliance, and investor reporting. The Manager will also support Vista’s Finance Leadership team with presentations and other ad-hoc requests as needed. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment in a role with high visibility and accountability, high-pressure tasks and competing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment. Additionally, this candidate is excited about an opportunity to help build out afunction, is self-driven and able to prioritize multiple concurrent, complex tasks while maintaining a strong attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills are also critical for success in the role as the Manager will frequently engage with teams and colleagues across the Finance team and firm (including firm leaders, investment professionals, Legal, Compliance and Investor Relations) in addition to investors and external service providers.Prepare key performance metrics and detailed data requests for standard reviews and ad hoc requestsSupport fundraising (including new products and external co-investments); work with the Investor Relations team to provide fund management aspects of fundraising, including reviewing marketing materialsPrepare standard quarterly reporting packets, which include information used in marketing decks and firm presentationsPrepare quarterly reporting and portfolio company summaries for distribution to LPsPrepare investor requests and respond to inquiries from LPsSupport Fund leaders on budgeting and tracking of fund profitability models, including carried interest projectionsPrepare capital availability reports and other standard weekly reportingBuild models to analyze the portfolio, including scenario planning and IRR maximizationSupport the Investment Committee, Fund leaders, and broader deal team with closings of investment purchases, follow-on fundings, distributions, dispositions, and portfolio review processesGather documentation of investment authorization, allocation, funds flow, certification, deal funding, etc.; review sales and purchase agreements and other deal transaction documentsWork closely with the Fund Accounting team to ensure transactions are appropriately reflected in financial statementsProvide information and documentation to the Fund Accounting team to prepare capital calls and distributionsMonitor ongoing compliance with Limited Partnership Agreements, investor side letters, and other regulatory requirementsMinimum 7-10 years of professional experience in an analytical or financial role within the asset management industryStrong finance knowledge with demonstrated experience in quantitative analysis and financial modelingStrong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and across an organizationExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to producing high-quality workHigh level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary informationStrong oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation abilitiesBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting preferred; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., Master’s, MBA, CFA, ACA) strongly preferredThe annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $162,000 - $180,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
