We partner with OrthoGeorgia to manage all therapy operations. We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient orthopedic setting.This opportunity allows the COTA to work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) and other rehab professionals, delivering meaningful interventions aimed at helping patients improve independence and function in daily life activities. Our supportive training and mentorship program eases the transition into clinical practiceSummary:Administers occupational therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). Helps patients develop, regain, or maintain daily living and work skills through therapeutic use of everyday activities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities (IADLs) through graded therapeutic interventionsImplement treatment plans as directed by the OT, including use of therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, functional tasks, and adaptive equipmentEducate and motivate patients in compensatory strategies, joint protection, energy conservation, and functional adaptationsAssist with custom orthosis fitting/training and upper extremity rehabilitation where appropriateObserve and document patients’ responses and progress toward treatment goals; report findings to supervising OTInstruct patients and caregivers in home programs to support continued progressParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning and coordinationSupport the onboarding and mentorship of new COTAs or rehab aides as neededComplete routine administrative tasks including inventory, documentation, and communication with referring providers or staffTo perform this job successfully, candidates should demonstrate:Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skillsExcellent customer service and empathyEffective oral and written communicationAbility to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative teamA commitment to quality care and professional ethicsAbility to adapt to changing caseloads and patient needsInitiative and openness to learning and professional developmentAssociate’s degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant programCurrent Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in the state of Georgia (or eligible)NBCOT certification required
