You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic culinary experiences for our guests. Reporting to the Stewarding Manager, you will support and provide excellent service within our culinary department. This high-volume position requires a passion for stewarding and culinary arts.Maintaining cleanliness of all dish machines; assisting with delivering of all hot/cold food for all Food and Beverage outlets and Banquet operations.Setting up Banquet break down stationsCleaning, sanitizing and properly storing all china, glassware, silver, silverware, pots and pans in the hotel; ensuring that cleanliness, sanitation and recycling is of top priorityEnsuring restaurant and banquet kitchens are consistently stocked with the proper amounts of all equipmentResponsible for properly sanitizing and cleaning all kitchen floors, recycle bins and oil bins; maintaining the cleanliness of the Recycle/trash room at all timesAssisting with removing used linen and restocking linen.High School Diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious stewarding experience preferredMinimum of two years’ experience in a luxury hotel and resort preferredAbility to speak, read, write and understand English requiredMinimum of one years’ experience in customer service position required.Physical RequirementsMost work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, stretch andfulfill cleaning tasks occasionally. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment.Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F). Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 lbs. occasionally.
