Lab Technician

This lab technician position will be assigned to the Physical Testing lab group with the assignment possibly changing over time depending on the demand for any given test area. The job will involve testing according to established procedures and under the guidance of a Research Scientist. Key job responsibilities include: u2022 Using established procedures to perform testing on polymers. u2022 Implement and use quality assurance/quality control checks to insure acceptable instrument performance and data quality. u2022 Coordinate work with other laboratories involved and other techs. u2022 Document and report results to customers in a timely manner. u2022 Satisfy all safety and quality requirement of the department. u2022 Conduct experiments to understand, communicate and continuously improve the capability of our methods and laboratory. u2022 Assist in initiatives to improve the overall lab performance and delivery of results to clients.
