Apply Today Job Summary and Qualifications Certified Sterile Processing Technician We are currently seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Tech to join our Central Sterile Processing Department. Our Surgical Services and Central Sterile teams are committed, caring professionals with a passion for creating positive patient interactions. You will be responsible for the proper decontamination, processing, sterilization and distribution of instruments, supplies and equipment to the OR and other areas of the hospital. We are a tight-knit team who realizes the importance of and how we in SPD affect patient safety. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next opportunity. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: u00b7 Prepare operating room case carts, sterile trays, and supplies for all areas of the hospital u00b7 Clean, assemble, wrap and sterilize reusable surgical instruments and supplies according to the procedures scheduled u00b7 Responsible for the maintenance of accurate sterilization records for all machine tests as well as a monthly report u00b7 Operate Ultrasonic, Steam, Steris and Sterrad equipment Qualifications u00b7 High School graduate or equivalent u00b7 Knowledge of sterilization supplies, equipment and instruments u00b7 Certification from CBSPD or HSPA u00b7 Previous experience 1-2 years strongly preferred u00b7 Ability to read and communicate effectively in English u00b7 Basic computer knowledge HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital.
