Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Riviera Beach, Florida. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic transport industry setting while showcasing your skills in managing receivables and financial processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and exceptional attention to detail. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and cash applications. u2022 Post and reconcile accounts receivable transactions to the general ledger with accuracy. u2022 Conduct regular follow-ups on outstanding payments to ensure timely collections. u2022 Process cash activities, including check handling and bank deposits. u2022 Utilize accounting software systems to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Prepare detailed reports on accounts receivable status and collection efforts. u2022 Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and resolve billing issues. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. u2022 Support month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable. u2022 Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of financial transactions. Requirements u2022 Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Great Plains (GPAC) and IBM AS/400. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites. u2022 Solid understanding of accounts receivable and general accounting principles. u2022 Experience in billing functions and reconciling financial data. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. u2022 Excellent communication skills for interactions with clients and internal teams. u2022 High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial processes. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
