Description We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a vibrant business in Longboat Key, FL. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining the health of the companyu2019s financial systems. Key Responsibilities: + Manage all aspects of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including processing invoices, payments, and customer collections. + Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and other key account reconciliations on a regular basis. + Accurately maintain the general ledger and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed. + Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and prepare reports detailing financial performance. + Process payroll or liaise with payroll services to ensure employees are compensated accurately and on time. + Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to assist with budgeting and forecasting efforts. + Uphold adherence to all financial policies and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. + Support external audits by providing required documentation in a timely and organized manner. + Provide administrative support and contribute to overall office operations as needed. Requirements Requirements: + Education: Associateu2019s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). + Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized business. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.). + Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple responsibilities. + Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication for collaborating with internal teams, external vendors, and clients. + Problem-Solving: Ability to independently investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with small business or multi-entity bookkeeping. + Familiarity with payroll systems or processes. + Certified Bookkeeper designation is a plus.
