Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing while maintaining compliance with regulations and confidentiality standards. This position requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities: u2022 Process payroll according to established schedules and cycles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies, and employee pay issues in a detail-oriented and courteous manner. u2022 Collaborate with facility teams to clarify and resolve payroll matters, including deductions, employee information, and adjustments. u2022 Utilize support from the Payroll Supervisor to address complex issues related to tax, system programming, and processing. u2022 Handle garnishments, tax levies, and child support notices promptly and accurately. u2022 Review and balance payroll data prior to final submission to ensure compliance and correctness. u2022 Prepare and distribute requested pay period, monthly, or quarterly check requests based on facility specifications. u2022 File payroll documentation appropriately in employee records or payroll folders to maintain organized records. u2022 Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by the Payroll Supervisor. u2022 Perform additional duties as needed to support payroll operations. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent certification. u2022 Minimum of 3-5 years of experience processing multi-state payroll. u2022 Proficiency in payroll systems and accounting software such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, and related tools. u2022 Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and resolve payroll issues effectively. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels. u2022 Advanced computer skills, including experience with Excel, Word, and payroll query/report writing software. u2022 Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll transactions responsibly. u2022 Demonstrated knowledge of benefit functions, auditing, and 401k administration.
