Job Description The Purchasing Agent Level 1.5 is responsible for supporting procurement activities by coordinating with vendors, managing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This role requires a solid understanding of purchasing procedures, vendor relations, and inventory management, with the ability to handle moderately complex procurement tasks independently. Key Responsibilities u2022u2003Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities. u2022u2003Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for materials, supplies, and equipment. u2022u2003Monitor and track order status to ensure timely delivery and resolve any discrepancies. u2022u2003Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation in compliance with company policies. u2022u2003Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications. u2022u2003Evaluate vendor performance and assist in maintaining preferred supplier lists. u2022u2003Support cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for procurement efficiencies. u2022u2003Handle moderately complex purchasing transactions and escalate issues as needed. u2022u2003Participate in contract negotiations under supervision and ensure compliance with terms. u2022u2003Assist in inventory control and forecasting to support procurement planning. This will be onsite 5x/week in Fort Lauderdale.
