N Position Type Management Bonus Eligible: Y JOB SUMMARY The Network Engineer, functioning as a subject matter expert, oversees multiple property networks with a focus on high availability and continuous service improvement. Responsibilities include solution development, design, engineering, integration, operation, and escalation support for property LAN, WLAN, and WAN services. This role guides workgroups, resolves complex service requests, and manages CAPEX projects within time and budget constraints. Reporting to the Director of Hotel Technology, the position verifies overall requirements are met for continent IT executives, LAN service providers, end-user computing services, hosting services, and enterprise availability. The Network Engineer provides technical engagement throughout the infrastructure lifecycle, executing initiatives to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate network designs, tooling, and operations to meet security and compliance requirements. CANDIDATE PROFILE Minimum Qualifications Required: u2022 Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification . u2022 3 yearsu2019 experience in information technology or network infrastructure management. u2022 2 yearsu2019 experience with project management and implementation stills. Preferred: u2022 Technical certifications (ITIL, Cisco, MCSE, etc.). u2022 Experience in researching emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products. u2022 Experience in developing technology roadmaps and strategies. u2022 Demonstrate flexibility to work outside standard hours, particularly during change implementations. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences including executives, business stakeholders, and IT teams. Infrastructure Design & Strategic Planning u2022 Guides completion of project requests associated with network infrastructure. u2022 Oversees lifecycle management of network infrastructure and services, including capacity, health and performance management. u2022 Guides and performs continuous service improvement initiatives enhancing network availability for properties. u2022 Develops, maintains and updates operational run books, knowledge base articles, architectural designs and other artifacts associated with network infrastructure and its association with global network. u2022 Provides technical leadership, oversight, governance and direction for operational services related to property networks. u2022 Provides technical expertise to project team for successful project and change implementations. u2022 Guides analysis of current environment for deficiencies and provides solutions. u2022 Educates internal and external users of the technologies to continually improve the knowledge and skill-base of the organization on how best to operate and support the infrastructure services. u2022 Develops implementation plans, test plans, and timelines for projects and tasks. u2022 Participates in the evaluation and selection of infrastructure services products. u2022 Guides analysis of the current environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement. u2022 Implement and manage robust network security measures, leveraging advanced technologies and protocols, to proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring the highest level of protection for company assets and data. u2022 Network Service Technologies include: u2022 WLAN access points and controllers u2022 Zero trust networks u2022 Network Firewalls, Routers and LAN Switches u2022 Network Performance Management and Analytics u2022 Bandwidth Management and Access Gateway u2022 Dynamic Host Connection Protocol (DHCP) u2022 LAN service providers (LSP) u2022 Network Capacity Management u2022 Internet Service Provider (ISP) Delivering Technology u2022 Manages daily infrastructure operations to meet the availability SLA for network services. u2022 Interfaces with stakeholders to establish requirements u2022 Guides/assists in configuration management. u2022 Works with vendors to resolve complex issues. u2022 Provides oversight, collaboration, provisioning, management and maintenance of technology products and service alternatives that improve the production services environment. u2022 Establishes and evolves monitoring and alerting for all production environments. u2022 Develops internal processes and training to provide team members with the needed skills and tools to support the production environments and deliver on project commitments. u2022 Performs complex quantitative and qualitative analyses for operational availability to promote a zero-defect environment. u2022 Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities; obtains and compares information from different sources to draw conclusions, develop and evaluate alternatives and solutions, solve problems, and choose a course of action. u2022 Collaborates across technology disciplines as needed, demonstrating versatility by actively participating in and providing assistance for various technology management duties beyond the network realm to ensure seamless and efficient overall IT operations. u2022 Engages with internal and external customers to fulfill their network requirements, delivering hospitable and cordial service, ensuring a positive experience throughout the network implementation process. The hourly pay range for this position is $32.21 to $43.75.
