Senior Scrum Master

Overview GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Scrum Master with an active Secret clearance to coordinate and monitor technical projects or programs from initiation through delivery in support of a major customer Data Center consolidation. This position will be located in Arlington, VA and will be a fully remote position within the United States. Responsibilities Coordinate and monitor technical projects or programs from initiation through delivery in support of a major customer Data Center consolidation. Gather required data from end users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create technical specifications. Serve as liaisons between technical and non-technical departments to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. Ensure technical projects are completed on schedule and within budget. Keep leadership informed of key issues that may impact project completion, budget, or other results. Works with minimal supervision with the ability to make decisions independently. Job Responsibilities: u2022 Manages all aspects of Data Center Consolidation projects. u2022 Solicits and validates stakeholder requirements for the transition of current services. u2022 Assists the Government in simplifying the IT infrastructure and standardizing services while ensuring the availability and performance of critical IT services. u2022 Manages and ensures the timely completion of specific, defined multi-disciplinary technical programs or projects of greater than average complexity and scope. u2022 Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. u2022 Research, plan, communicate, and achieve objectives through the program/project team. u2022 Oversees the team as they plan, track, and execute project plans from start to completion. u2022 Recommends changes to improve the process and to alleviate process inaccuracy and duplication. u2022 Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Qualifications Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Social Science u2022 8+ years of progressive experience in managing, directing, and implementing information technology projects. u2022 Experienced in managing a diverse group of functional activities, subordinate groups of technical and administrative personnel. u2022 Experience with management of data center consolidation project(s). u2022 Proven success in planning, scheduling, and executing technical projects within budget and schedule. u2022 Experience in design, analysis, and implementation of data center physical, environmental, and technical systems. u2022 Experience in the development of systems engineering and design documents for IT systems and infrastructure. u2022 Experience in working with application owners and key stakeholders in the planning of services and data migration. u2022 Experience maintaining a RAID log to track Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies impacting project goals and targets. u2022 Experience managing Waterfall and Agile projects. u2022 Experience maintaining a well-defined Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with tools like Microsoft Project. u2022 Experience with migrations from Physical Data Centers to Commercial Cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. u2022 Strong written and oral communications required. u2022 Possess strong technical skills in 3 or more of these areas: o Network services o Servers o Storage o Database services o Security services o Web application hosting Company Overview GovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
