Enterprise Technology is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin, providing oversight and governance to align technology and business strategies.We are hiring a motivated Sr. Software Engineer who is eager to learn and apply their technical skills with a commitment to quality and a passion for our mission and vision You'll help build agentic, workflow-driven search and discovery platforms - powering enterprise knowledge graphs and AI-assisted search - using Python, Java, and JavaScript.This position is ideal for senior engineers who have extensive full-stack experience and can drive technical strategy while building user-centric search interfaces that are intuitive, performant, and aligned with mission-critical operations. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and make architectural decisions that support our manufacturing operations at scale.Key Responsibilities:Lead technical architecture and design decisions for enterprise search and discovery platforms, ensuring scalability and performance at Blue Origin's operational scaleDrive development of sophisticated frontend search interfaces using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue, with advanced features like semantic search, knowledge graph visualization, and AI-powered recommendationsArchitect and implement complex backend services (REST, GraphQL, microservices) to support enterprise search, knowledge graph queries, AI agent orchestration, and real-time data integrationOwn end-to-end deployment strategies within AWS containers, optimizing for performance, cost, and reliability using services like Amazon ECS, EKS, Lambda, and FargateLead integration initiatives with AI/ML systems including advanced RAG implementations, the Strands Framework, BlueGPT capabilities, and external AI service providersCollaborate directly with Product Management, Data Science, and business stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and deliver cohesive search experiencesMake critical architecture decisions for search platforms, balancing scalability, performance, maintainability, and security requirementsDesign and optimize complex APIs for Sinequa integration, knowledge graph data access, and multi-modal search capabilitiesEstablish testing strategies and frameworks to ensure enterprise-grade reliability and performance of search APIs and applicationsLead troubleshooting of complex technical issues across search pipelines, AI integration, distributed systems, and application performanceMentor and provide technical guidance to Level II and III engineers, fostering knowledge sharing and best practicesDrive innovation by researching and prototyping emerging search, knowledge graph, and AI technologiesInfluence technical standards and practices across the broader engineering organizationRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience7+ years software development experience, with 3+ years in senior or lead engineering rolesProficiency with Large Language Models (LLMs) for code generation, debugging, and development assistanceExpert-level proficiency in fronte
