The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.*Position SummaryReporting to the Building Superintendent, and under general direction, the Porter is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of CU apartment buildings and the grounds area.Responsibilities- Cleans and maintains building and grounds complex: elevators, stairways, corridors, windows, floors, laundry rooms, vacant apartments.- Trims trees and shrubs; fertilizes, seeds, and mows lawn; sweeps and hoses sidewalks; removes snow and spreads salt as needed.- Performs related duties as assigned.- Heavy lifting may be required.Minimum Qualifications- A High School Diploma and/or its equivalent is required.- Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance is a plus.Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran Columbia University is committed to the hiring of qualified local residents.
