*Job Description** You will be responsible for the research, design, implementation, and operation of new cloud offerings, with a particular focus on virtual GPU (vGPU) and GPU slicing technologies to power virtual workstations, rendering pipelines, and large-scale production workloads. This is an opportunity to help build a competitive GPU-powered media cloud offering from the ground up, extending OCI’s reach into new, greenfield opportunities within the media and entertainment space. As a senior individual contributor, you will work with engineering and product leaders to chart the technical vision, provide guidance, and influence decisions based on your deep expertise in cloud services and GPU-accelerated workloads. You will mentor engineers, drive complex projects independently, and serve as a catalyst for technical innovation in OCI. **Key Responsibilities** + Research and apply state-of-the-art vGPU, GPU slicing (e.g., NVIDIA MIG), and GPU virtualization technologies to support high-performance media workloads. + Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of GPU-accelerated cloud services (virtual workstations, rendering clusters, AI/ML-enabled media tools). + Ensure services are built for scale, availability, observability, performance, and security, optimized for graphics and rendering pipelines. + Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to deliver cloud-native solutions for media production workflows. + Drive operational excellence for GPU-powered services, including performance monitoring, failure analysis, and workload optimization. + Stay ahead of emerging GPU and virtualization technologies, influencing OCI’s roadmap and ensuring competitive differentiation. + Mentor engineers and establish best practices in GPU-aware service development, software engineering standards, and operational processes. + Define and track OKRs/KPIs related to GPU utilization, performance efficiency, and service scalability. **Responsibilities** **Qualifications** + BS/MS in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of software engineering experience in large-scale distributed systems or cloud services. + Proven experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud services with GPU acceleration (vGPU, GPU slicing, multi-instance GPU [MIG], or GPU virtualization frameworks). + Deep knowledge of media production workflows (rendering, compositing, digital asset management, scene description frameworks like USD, etc.) and the GPU requirements they entail. + Strong background in high-performance computing, virtualization, and resource scheduling/orchestration for GPU-powered workloads. + Experience leading development of services requiring elastic scaling of GPU resources across geo-distributed data centers. + Extensive experience with software implementation, code/design review, performance tuning, and root cause analysis in GPU or HPC environments. + Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, mentor engineers, and drive technical innovation independently. + Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across distributed teams. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
