Restaurant Assistant Manager

Job Description Seeking a Restaurant Assistant Manager in the Cincinnati area to support the Restaurant Manager of a sports bar and grill in a casino property by overseeing daily operations, including staff supervision, training, and customer service, as well as managing inventory, finances, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Hire, schedule, train, and manage restaurant staff u2022 Recommend employee actions such as raises, promotions, or disciplinary measures u2022 Understand and align daily operations with department goals, standards, and budget and adjust schedules based on business needs u2022 Help grow revenue by improving menu offerings, service quality, portion control, and reducing waste u2022 Ensure excellent customer service and resolve any complaints or questions u2022 Monitor servers, bus persons and other staff members to meet or exceed service expectations u2022 Adjust staffing levels based on business volumes u2022 Maintain accurate records and reports as required u2022 Ensure staff follow health and safety regulations u2022 Assist Restaurant Manager with planning budgets, staff schedules, and accountability systems u2022 Assist Restaurant Manager to develop and enforce policies and procedures to meet company and regulatory standards u2022 Facilitate clear communication between front and back of house teams while taking ownership of all responsible areas u2022 Meet daily deadlines of opening, creating, and posting table-talks for specials and produces sample dishes for pre-shifts in a timely manner and reviews nightly special postings, prep level reports, and critical inventory comparisons u2022 Conduct regular quality checks on food and service u2022 Monitor purchasing, staffing, and inventory to control product and labor costs and minimize waste, ensuring adherence to the budget u2022 Monitor work areas to ensure cleanliness and respond to customer needs promptly u2022 Ensure all stations are stocked and equipment is in good working condition u2022 Performs other related duties as needed.
