Our People First core value clearly states that “we are a family organization that promotes respect and embraces diversity”.Job Summary:A Cleaner is responsible for basic cleaning, including cleaning of all common areas, restrooms, entrances, elevators, walkways, windows, furniture, fixtures, stairs, chairs, tables, telephones, drinking fountains, trashing, dusting, polishing, and other assigned items/areas.This is a Monday - Sunday position from 9pm - 3am.- Key Responsibilities:Clean and disinfect patient exam rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas.Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas.Remove trash and biohazard waste in accordance with safety regulations.Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other supplies.Follow strict protocols for handling cleaning agents and medical waste.Maintain floors, including stripping, waxing, and buffing when required.Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor.Comply with all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines.Ensure secure handling of cleaning chemicals and supplies.Maintain janitorial equipment in good working order.Support emergency clean-up requests as needed (e.g., spills, bodily fluids).Lock and secure assigned areas upon completion of cleaning duties.- Qualifications:Previous janitorial or custodial experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.Knowledge of cleaning procedures, materials, and equipment.Understanding of infection control practices.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.Responsible for all basic cleaningCleaning of restrooms includes restocking toilet tissue and other dispensers, emptying trash, clean and sanitize fixtures, clean mirrors, spot clean partition doors and walls, sweep and mop tile floors, and clean toilets and urinalsMove furniture, vacuum, reposition furniture, empty trash and replace linersCheck all trash containers prior to moving itCleaning includes dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, gum removal, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor and spot cleaning glassPerforms additional duties as required, including attending to flooded areas, incidental spills, and related clean-up work for trash and restroom concernsRestock carts and closets at the end of each shiftPrevious experience in office cleaning or a similar role is preferredStrong communication skillsMust be willing to work assigned hoursReliable, punctual, and trustworthyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible and able to handle varying workloadsCapable of performing the physical demands of the job, including bending, kneeling, carrying, lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periodsHarvard is offering a competitive salary structure including benefit package with medical, dental, life, and long-term disability (LTD) insurance along with 401K Savings Plan.An Equal Opportunity Employer --- M/F/D/V17.50/hrMonday - Sunday 6 hrs
