Product Tech Support Specialist

The Marvin Technical Support Department delivers exceptional, timely, and professional support to customers by providing expert guidance on product capabilities, limitations, special pricing, and estimating. This team collaborates cross-functionally with departments such as Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Signature Services to ensure accurate and efficient solutions. A core objective of the department is responsiveness. Faced with complex and highly specific customer requests, the team strives to meet exact specifications or, when not feasible, offer well considered alternative solutions. Provide responses to our customers’ requests for technical information, limitations, and the capabilities of our productManage incoming inquiries by using available material resources and/or consulting with product experts to advance the resolution of our customers’ questions in a timely manner.Provide product pricing, estimating, structural analysis, AutoCAD working drawings and any other special calculations as neededSolve problems that are highly varied, complex and often non-recurring, requiring novel and creative approaches to resolution in which new concepts and approaches may have to be developed.Cross-functional teamwork with product options and production abilities.Assist with the support and development of our channel partners and trade professionalsSupport departmental goal initiatives to achieve critical measurements.Technical aptitude to quickly learn Marvin products, systems, and processesStrong PC skills utilizing AutoCAD and MS Office applicationsExcellent communication and documentation skillsUnderstanding of drafting concepts and knowledge of the construction industrySolution-oriented and innovative thinking abilitiesSelf-directed; confident; motivated; able to self-manage priorities and deadlines; organized; detail-orientedApproachable, collaborative, and presents with appropriate business acumenAssociate or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Engineering, Drafting, Construction Management, or Architecture2-4 years of relevant industry experience in technical support, estimating, drafting, or constructionFrom people to products, Marvin is committed to creating better ways of living.
