Job Description

The Onboarding Specialist is the point of contact for candidates once they enter the new hire stage (post offer) to begin the on-boarding process; continually update the Staffing Grid with the new hire's progress; send background checks and ensure an excellent new hire experience throughout the on-boarding process.The position is based at UF Health St. Johns Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine, FL and is not a remote opportunity.Logs and routes incoming calls appropriately. Answers and returns all phone calls within 48 hours. Handles all phone calls in a timely and professional manner including responding to managers, employees and all other customers of UF Health Human Resources.Inputs and processes employee/candidate human resources information into the appropriate HR system in a timely and accurate manner based on HR Quality standards.Creates, maintains and secures human resources and other employee files (i.e. I-9). Phone Screens/Interviews1. Ask minimum standard interview questions as defined by recruiting team2. Schedule interview with recruiter/employment coordinator and hiring manager on Outlook calendars3. Send interview confirmation email to candidates at least 24 hours prior to interview4. Escort candidates to hiring manager for departmental interviewsEmployee Processing:1. Complete primary source verification for new hires to ensure nothing reported between interview and hire process2. Complete offer letters to include RN Resident/Fellowship and Float Addendums as required by job3. Complete employee new hire processing documents to include I-9 documentation, job descriptions, badges, etc.4. Collect all new hire documentation required in the job description to include documentation of education, license,certifications, etc.5. Ensure new hires keyed appropriately for orientation listAssist all areas of HR with special projects such as career fairs, system conversions, open enrollment and employeerecognition and other hospital activities.Perform all other duties as assigned by management within job scope.HS diploma required.One year of Human Resources experience required.
