Medical Assistant Program DirectorThe Program Director Medical Assistant is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of the program. This role involves leading faculty, managing curriculum, maintaining accreditation standards, and fostering student success. This role will demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and expertise in medical assisting education.Develop, implement, and evaluate program policies, procedures, and goals to support student successSupervise and mentor faculty, promoting professional development and instructional excellenceCoordinate class schedules, faculty assignments, and program activities to align with institutional needsMaintain compliance with accreditation, certification, and regulatory requirementsCollaborate with institutional leadership to enhance program offerings and ensure continuous improvementDesign, update, and enhance curriculum to meet industry standards and accreditation guidelinesIntegrate hands-on training and real-world applications into courseworkAssess student learning outcomes and adjust instructional strategies as neededPartner with faculty to implement innovative teaching methodologies and technology in the classroomAdvise and support students to promote retention, engagement, and career readinessDevelop strategies to improve student performance, including tutoring and mentorship initiativesAddress student concerns and provide guidance on academic and professional developmentAssist with and attend graduation as requestedTeach classes as and when necessary and as permitted by any programmatic accreditorCultivate partnerships with healthcare providers to facilitate externships and employment opportunitiesEngage with advisory boards, professional organizations, and industry leaders to align the program with workforce demandsRepresent the institution at networking events, conferences, and accreditation meetingsEstablish/maintain a high performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metricsRecognizes and rewards employee contributions and achievementsOther duties as assignedCompletion of post-secondary training (Diploma)3+ years of clinical MA experience1+ years of teaching experience (Required)Able and willing to:Communicate, think, learn, and reasonUse computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasksSafely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locationsDemonstrate and utilize active listening, inductive reasoning, information ordering and category flexibilityAbility to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretionAbility to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential and multiple projects are worked simultaneouslyAbility to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates essential functions of the positionAbility to foster long-term relationships with stakeholders
