Come join our Gold Medal Team as a Basketball Referee to help us grow our organization to make it among the best in the nation. Basketball Referees are responsible for calling scheduled basketball games and programs sponsored or coordinated by the Parks and Recreation Department.Tactfully discuss questionable calls when it is convenient to consult with the other referee's if applicableAttend trainings as directed by Sports Official SupervisorUtilize resources (rule books, clinics) and problem-solving skills$25.00 per game (all games have running clock)Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.Participation in basketball and sports officiating experience preferred, but not requiredThe ability to officiate youth basketball (played in the evenings after 5 PM)WILL TRAINMinimum age 16+ years oldJCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
