Senior Financial Analyst

Steampunk is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the finance team. Reporting to the Portfolio Finance Director, the Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for all services related financial transactions, timesheet tracking, weekly project notebook updates, month end close, ad hoc reporting and analysis, and monthly forecasting process. Partner with program management teams to review and report on project financial performance (revenue, cost, margin)Collaborate with accounting on billing and monthly closePrepare project reports (status, revenue, labor, ETCs)Review monthly project costs, budgets, variances, and provide recommendations for improvementMonitor daily/weekly labor charging; maintain workforce data in CostpointEnsure timely/accurate timecard corrections and cost reclassesUpdate EAC monthly with actuals/ETC; monitor contract burn rates and program marginReview/approve customer invoices, prepare addendums as neededWork with project managers on scenario modelingEnsure accurate project setup including LCATs and ceilingsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (no CPA required)GovCon experience is mandatory - minimum 3 years federal contractingSystems: Deltek Costpoint, SharePoint; Cognos preferredIntermediate Excel proficiencyStrong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skillsLocal to DMV; required in Tysons office 2-3 days/weekSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
