Maintenance Manager

Reporting to the Vice President, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of all facility equipment, HVAC, structure and grounds directly or through professional contract staff. Facility equipment includes heat treat furnaces, conveyor equipment, washers, air compressors, shop blast equipment, salt bath/coating production line, gas generators, air dryers, etc. The core responsibilities of this role include:direct management of four maintenance techniciansthe maintenance of the spare part and supply inventory system through our CMMSeffective and accurate trouble-shooting methods of repair for equipment, root cause analysis of malfunction and options for remediationmonitoring of maintenance records; including vendor history, contractors, project costs, etc.the partnering with purchasing for parts orders efficiency, expediency, and cost effectivenessthe creation and implementation of an ongoing preventative maintenance systemthe initiation, implementation, and participation in capital investment assessment, improvement, and business strategy planningthe participation in team meetings to provide updates on current and upcoming maintenance demands and projectsresponse to maintenance tickets and the timely execution to resolve the sameThe successful candidate will have:A high school education or equivalent.A strong mechanical aptitude; working knowledge of electrical systems would be an advantageWorking knowledge of maintenance systems/software7 years experience in a maintenance role in a production/manufacturing environment with machinery is mandatoryMinimum 3 years experience staff supervision as a ManagerMust be strategic in thinking, able to swiftly shift priorities and execute as neededExperience reading/comprehending blue prints and wiring diagrams is necessaryWilling to travel to customer locations to assist in contractor management up to 1 week four times per yearKnowledge of PLC's is desirableKnowledge of general safety practices requiredThis is an exempt position; however, does require some evening and/or weekend work as the need arises. The target compensation for this position is $110,000 and varies depending upon experience.
